We have a deep passion for fishing, as it is a tradition for Nate Van Amburg of Nate’s Rogue Adventures. Nate is a third generation Oregonian that grew up on the rivers that he offers you today. Really, what's better than freshly caught fish being prepared along side the river, in the remote wilderness for you and your family or friends? We believe this is the purest way to enjoy the Pacific Northwest.
There are a variety of fish that an angler may be interested in targeting. A variety of fish live in the Rogue River including sea-run Cutthroat Trout, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead in all sizes, and Rainbow Trout. There are also bass in many of the sloughs of the upper river. The fish hatchery on the upper end of the river raises and releases fish for harvest/recreation. On the Rogue River we offer a variety of fishing trips including day trips as well as our premier 4-6 day camping or lodge trips in the Wild and Scenic Canyon. Fishing from a boat while navigating class 3-4 whitewater is an experience that Zane Grey, one of America’s most revered adventure authors, has cherished himself. We can camp alongside the river and under the starts, or treat yourself by staying in a lodge. All of the lodges have soft beds, in-room showers, generous food portions, and have their own historical background that adds to the richness of the experience.
If you are looking for a fishing experience in Central Oregon, we offer fly fishing on the world famous Deschutes River during the Salmon Fly hatch in May, or later in the year for the summer Steelhead run from late August through October. We offer both day trips and multi-day trips ranging from 3-5 days on the lower Deschutes River through our partnership with Deschutes River Adventures.
Nate is passionate about introducing children and families to joy of camping and fishing as this is what he was exposed to while growing up and how he fell in love with the river. We offer child focused camping and fishing trips on multiple rivers in Oregon for all ages and abilities.
Coastal river fishing for King Salmon with experienced Oregon guides are also available.
