Lower Descutes day fishing trip
The Deschutes is a world renowned fishery that boasts some of the highest populations of trout in any river in the lower 48. For this reason it is regulated with fishing restrictions that do not exist on most rivers throughout the U.S. On this river you may not fish from a boat, there is no bait allowed, and the harvest size for fish is in the window between 10" and 13" for trout. It is very common to have to keep catching 16"-18" trout until you get one small enough to keep. This river is our favorite for those who want to catch and keep trout. Steelhead are in the river starting in august and are the favorite fisherman to pursue and catch. Fly rods and fly's provided. You may be interested in fishing with lures and spinners, we will accommodate with pleasure.Your guide will greet you with coffee, danish and fruit for a light breakfast. Deli lunch is served riverside or on the boat, as per your preference. We serve a riverside lunch as with most day trips. Waders not provided.
